ITALIAN IRONS STATEMENT :
Italian Irons, West Ham United official italian supporter club, announce that will no longer attend games played at London stadium as a group starting from the next home game against Accrington Stanley. For this reason no more flag or symbols of the Italian Irons will be displayed in the new stadium. It is not an easy decision, born some months ago and definitively matured after the recent home games. We had always doubts and skepticism about the moving from Upton Park to Stratford, but we were patient waiting to see the brand new stadium in person.
We did it by attending all home games played so far by the team, and we finally made the idea that the road taken by the club, in this so called "new era", not really reflect the meaning of what the West Ham United is. The people that have met us perfectly knows that we will always have the sense of belonging to the Boleyn Ground because of the shirt, the colors and the history of this club. After over 100 years your home will always be your home even after you move to a new building, that could be beautiful, luxurious, but inevitably without a soul. We criticize the choice of clubs about this moving because we realized that we left our home for going in a new one that we feel like something that is not ours. And this is the cause of the beginning of the troubles, because you’re acting like you're at your home but you're not and you have always to be reported by someone else than owns it. (as a matter of fact the stadium is not your property).
At Upton Park fans fell like they are real West Ham fans while in the London Stadium the only thing that they obtained so far is the permanent threat of the season ticket withdrawal just because they stood up during the match. And recently someone is just been banned from the stadium for this reason. We wonder if it’s right to blame all the West Ham supporters(real or not) for this kind of mess in the home games and finally we find an answer. For now the club doesn’t care about the supporters opinion, they asked 45£ for a non uk membership that only allows you to enter a ticket ballot for most of home games with no guarantee to buy a ticket and the have 20000 supporters in waiting list for a season ticket. So they don’t care to give 10 ban for game to people arguing with stewards, hired on outsourcing and unable to make the job properly, because they will always find the way to bring new supporters(?) inside the stadium.
We believe that the a change of direction by the club is really needed so they have to consider the introduction of standing sectors and family blocks. This problems are not present at the Boleyn but now there are and the club has to solve them without blaming the supporters remembering that the club is world famous because of them and without them WHU would be a normal club like many others. Of course there are also the “neutral” (called this way by Miss Brady), but do we really want this for our club? A stadium without soul full of people that act like they are in a cinema or in a theater during the weekend without caring about the match and the result?
We remark that we‘ll not attend home games until the club will change his strategies and all the real WHU supporters will be treated as they deserve to be treated and we could finally call ‘home’ the London stadium. We will be instead present at the away games every time we could like we just did this season in Chelsea, Slovenia and Manchester.
We thank you all for your support hoping for a better future for the club and his fans

My first game watching West Ham was in 1967 when I was 8, I do not recall the Italian Irons appearing until the last 10-15 years, along with the Belguim, Fins and fucking French
Anyone who loves West Ham will see this shit through..
Things will get worse before they get better, but patience is the order of the day not fucking surrender

Plus always the stories of "my mate's cousin's boss's disabled granny went to Upton Park and got spat at and attacked by 300 blokes carrying machine guns and haven't been to footie since" etc.

I'm with mashed here - it started with they tevez thing and then the OS thing, everyone hates us these days.
And the Italian hammers are blatantly just using this as an excuse so they can spend more time with their mamas

Yes.
- Is there a good atmosphere when we're winning games?
Yes (despite the fighting amongst our own).
- Can you buy a beer easily in the ground?
- Yes.
That's all that matters to me. Maybe I'm a simple man and easy to please but I don't see the problem - apart from fans fighting and shit stewards.

Anyone that packs it in due to loving an old decrepit stadium more than the football club that they purport to support is a fan that I'm glad to see the back of.
The average IQ level within our new stadium will steeply rise when these sort of supporters pack it in.

Soccer was always a term used by non football people (especially rugger twats) to try to pretend that each sport was an equal break away from the original game of football.
Of course football is was and always will be football and rugby is a non sporting alternative for fat boys

The term soccer was widely used in England until the mid 70's. Soccer Stars magazine was published during the 60's and 70's, printed in that American town, Mitchum, Surrey! I have a wide collection of 'soccer' related books published in the UK from the early Twentieth Century including 'Soccer at War', 'Masters of Soccer', and Bobby Moore's 'The Book of Soccer' 1968 and probably hundreds of others. It is only those born in the last 25 years that seem to think the tern soccer is a foul Americanisation.

All these pricks crying like babies, either shut up and make the stadium a real home and help improve it or fuck off and don't come back, but no one needs a statement from anyone leaving, you simply aren't important enough for anyone to care
